Since its establishment in 1940, Daejeon Institute of Science and Technology has continually advanced toward its goal of nurturing active professionals with integrity and future-oriented leadership, striving to embark on the next 100 years.
To lead the future, the university has formulated the "2033 Mid-to-Long-Term Development Plan", which outlines five strategic pillars: fostering core talents for the future society, advancing the industry-academia-community collaboration platform, strengthening sustainable university capabilities, upgrading university management infrastructure, and enhancing the meta-digital platform for higher vocational education. These initiatives aim to develop DST creative and convergent talents grounded in the values of Dynamic, Share, and Together.
With a foundation in forward-looking and innovative education, the university has been consecutively selected for prestigious government-supported projects, including the College Innovation Support Project (2019–2021, 2022–2024), LINC+, and LINC 3.0. Additionally, it has been recognized in the Local Specialized College Revitalization Project, securing continued financial support from the Ministry of Education.
To nurture field-ready professionals who possess the adaptability and creative thinking required for the future, the university is continuously expanding and developing specialized curricula and innovative programs that foster interdisciplinary and integrated skills.
